New DEKRA testing station opened in Ahaus with state-of-the-art SHERPA testing technology
A few weeks ago, DEKRA opened a new testing station in Ahaus, North Rhine-Westphalia, further expanding its network in the Münsterland region. The modern facility offers a wide range of vehicle testing services – from general inspections and safety checks to specialized tests for commercial vehicles.
A special highlight of the new, state-of-the-art station is the truck roller brake tester BPS Twin-XT-13100, which was supplied by our company. This powerful SHERPA test system with a split roller set allows precise and reliable testing of brake systems on heavy commercial vehicles with axle loads of up to 13 t – an important contribution to road safety on our streets. The tester is suitable for all testing needs thanks to its comprehensive set of options, including two test speeds, roller elevation on both sides to 40 mm, hydraulic roller raising with 150 mm stroke, weighing equipment, pit safety, the “Dig-4” LED digital display, and SHERPA-patented software options.
The new DEKRA station in Ahaus is available to both private vehicle owners and commercial customers and focuses on efficiency, highest technical standards, and customer-friendliness, even for those who decide at short notice: “You can simply drop by and have your car, motorcycle, or commercial vehicle inspected. With or without an appointment,” explains Gennaro Berlin, DEKRA station manager in Ahaus, in an interview with the Münsterland Zeitung, highlighting the significant added value for customers. Thanks to the working pit, the testing team can also inspect campers, caravans and commercial vehicles in addition to cars, Berlin continues. “We can inspect anything with wheels here.” A comprehensive range of services is also being offered.
In the new 2,000-square-meter building, customers can always find a dedicated contact person, handling their concerns directly and easily. With the new testing location, DEKRA not only demonstrates its local presence but also offers all car and motorcycle drivers real added value in terms of service and safety.
