Vocational School I in Deggendorf teaches in the field of automotive technology on SHERPA rollers

The State Vocational School I in Deggendorf, Bavaria, is the “bridge to a career” for over 2,000 students every year. 22 different apprenticeship disciplines are being taught here. The school has a role model function in every respect, is also a Fairtrade School with the seal for fair trade and the “New Starting Class” in the vocational preparation department is funded by the European Social Fund of the European Union.

A main focus is the field of automotive technology with vocational training for automotive mechatronics, agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics, commercial vehicle mechatronics and other automotive and mechanic professions. Every year, around 300 students complete the Technical School for automotive engineering and electromobility in Deggendorf, with is recognized for its high-tech equipment as well as competent and advanced training to become a state-approved technician.

The machine hall for the practical components of the training is equipped with testing technology by the brand SHERPA: A car test lane Sherlane-3.5-Easy-TV with axle suspension and side slip tester as well as a truck roller brake tester BPS-Twin-18.7-RSE.

Thanks to their comprehensive configuration, both test benches meet the highest testing requirements:
  • The test lane for cars and transporters has been extensively expanded by the options reinforced measuring mechanics for axle suspension tester, frequency module for detecting vehicle noises, reinforced drive motors, pneumatic roller set raising, pointer display, SHERPA-Office database, PC-Software “BPS-TV“ and some other features.
  • The truck roller brake tester is also optimally equipped for all testing requirements with, among other things, reinforced drive motors with planetary gears, hydraulic roller raising, tractor specification with enlarged roller wheelbase, static / dynamic weighing device, pointer display, SHERPA-Office database, PC-Software “BPS-TV“, data interface and data transmission to SP-Plus program and two test speeds.
Both test systems also feature the proven SHERPA options rotational and measurement direction reversal, patented automatic all-wheel detection and patented EDOS drive out assistance.

The periphery has now been completed and the systems have been put into operation. The 14 vocational school classes of the basic and technical level in the field of automotive technology can use the test systems for their training in the areas of car, commercial vehicle and construction machinery technology.

We would like to thank our long-term partner in the field of workshop equipment and testing technology, Küblbeck GmbH & Co. KG, namely Johann Breu in the sales team, as well as the Vocational School I in Deggendorf for the good cooperation in sales, installation and instruction of the systems and wish the vocational students all the best on their journey to a vocational career.
